The Department of Performing Arts is dedicated to cultivating innovative and practical performing arts professionals. The curriculum is divided into two main tracks: the Street Dance Program and the All-Round Artist Program.
The Street Dance Program emphasizes technical training in diverse dance styles such as Breaking, Locking, and Hip-hop. It integrates creative choreography and teamwork to help students develop their personal style and stage presence. Students not only participate in performances and competitions both on and off campus but also have opportunities for international exchange, broadening their professional horizons.
The All-Round Artist Program focuses on nurturing talents across various fields, including film and television entertainment, pop music and dance, new media marketing, and backstage production planning. Students receive comprehensive training in screen acting, hosting, stage movement, and choreography, while also developing skills in social media management and program production. This systematic training aims to enhance students’ professional competitiveness, preparing them to excel in the ever-evolving entertainment industry as creative and capable performing artists.
All-Round Artist Module
The curriculum is designed to cultivate versatile and multi-talented artists. It covers areas such as pop music dance, film and television entertainment, new media marketing, and production planning. Courses in pop music and dance focus on musicality, dance techniques, and stage performance, helping students develop their individual style and choreographic creativity. Film and entertainment courses train students in acting and hosting for film, TV, and variety shows, strengthening their on-camera confidence and expressive ability. In response to the digital era, the program also includes new media marketing courses that teach students how to build personal brands, manage social media platforms, and expand their influence through strategic promotion. Additionally, production planning courses develop students’ creativity, resource integration, and execution skills in event and show production—equipping them for diverse careers in the entertainment industry.
Street Dance Module
This module aims to train students in professional street dance techniques, creative expression, and stage performance experience. The curriculum ranges from fundamental to advanced skills across various dance styles, including Breaking, Locking, Popping, Waacking, and Hip-hop, enabling students to master a wide dance vocabulary. Emphasizing the fusion of creation and performance, students engage in choreography courses that foster individuality and teamwork. To strengthen professional readiness, stage performance workshops and live showcases allow students to gain hands-on experience through participation in school and external performances or competitions. Renowned dancers and professional instructors are regularly invited to teach, and students also have opportunities for international exchange, enhancing their global perspective and connection to the worldwide dance community—laying a solid foundation for their future careers.
